Camtrap DP and Darwin Core exports

Camera-trap data has two audiences: the tools that analyse camera-trap surveys, and the registers that hold species occurrences. MyElysium exports the same reviewed data in both shapes so nobody has to transcribe one into the other.

Camtrap DP

Camtrap DP is the TDWG data-package standard for camera-trap data. A MyElysium package is a zip containing datapackage.json (the descriptor, with the project's rights statement in its licences block), deployments.csv, media.csv and observations.csv. Each observation names its classification method and, where a person decided it, who that was. The package is checked for structure before handoff; compatibility with a particular downstream tool must be verified against that tool's supported Camtrap DP version.

Darwin Core occurrences

Darwin Core is the vocabulary biodiversity registers such as the Atlas of Living Australia and GBIF are written in. MyElysium's occurrence CSV includes confirmed determinations by default; machine determinations can be included explicitly and are then marked basisOfRecord=MachineObservation with an unverified status. Sensitive localities use informationWithheld and dataGeneralizations rather than a blank or a rounded number that reads as exact.

Which tier produces which

• Triage: one CSV of ranked suggestions plus the filtered images. No Camtrap DP or Darwin Core export, because nothing on Triage is reviewed.
• Free trial, Survey and Managed: Camtrap DP packages, Darwin Core occurrences, survey effort tables, the reviewed-detections CSV and PDF summary reports.

Lodging with a register is the rights holder's decision, and no open licence is granted by default.
